Alarms: what you see and what to do

Published on

The portal reports two different things: the plant status, always visible, and the list of alarms, in the Alerts tab.

The plant status

Next to the plant name, in the list and in the flow blocks, the status is one of these:

  • Working (or Ok): the plant is running
  • Fault: there is a fault that requires an intervention
  • Offline: the plant is not sending data

The status becomes Fault only for faults. Other events appear in the Alerts tab but do not change the status: the plant can show as Working even with an event in progress.

The Alerts tab

The tab lists the plant's events:

  • Ongoing: those still active
  • History: those that have ended, for the period you choose at the top right

You can filter by type:

  • Alarm: an event that resolves by itself and requires no intervention, for example a high grid voltage for a few minutes
  • Protection: a block of the plant that requires an intervention to resume operation

For every event you see the code, the severity, the start, the end, the duration, the description and the device. The question mark next to the filters repeats these definitions. Export downloads the list as CSV.

The bell at the top right shows the notifications of active alarms.

What to do

  • An alarm that closed by itself: nothing to do. If the same alarm repeats often, report it to your installer.
  • A protection in progress or a plant in Fault: contact whoever installed the plant or zeroCO2 support.
  • Plant Offline: check that your router and internet connection work. If it stays offline, contact support.

When you contact support, give the plant name, the serial number of the device (you find it in the Device tab) and the code and time of the event. The contacts are on the Support page of the site.
