Settings you can change

Published on

A plant's Settings tab shows the settings of its devices. Almost all of them are read-only: you can change only those the system makes available to your account.

Reading the settings

On the left choose the device and the group of settings. On the right a table shows name, description, current value and unit. The Sync all settings button reads the values again from the device.

If a group shows No settings, there are no settings to show to your account for that device.

Changing a value

When a setting can be changed, a field appears in the Set value column:

  1. Enter the new value and send it.
  2. Use Sync all settings to check that the device has taken it.

A setting can be changed only if both these conditions are true:

  • the system makes it changeable for your role
  • your organisation owns the plant or installed it

If either is missing, you see the value but cannot change it.

What the portal does not do

The portal does not send commands to the devices (start, stop, restart, updates): those stay with whoever installs and services the plant. If you need to change something that cannot be changed here, ask your installer.
