You need a Claude account (the free plan works too, with a single custom connection) and your zeroCO2 account. You connect once from the browser; after that it also works in the Claude apps for desktop and phone.

Add the connection

  1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings → Connectors.

  2. Click Add custom connector.

  3. Fill in:

    • Name: any name you like, for example zeroCO2
    • URL: https://mcp.cloud.energyincloud.com/mcp

Leave the other options as they are.

  4. Click Add, then Connect.

  5. The zeroCO2 login page opens: sign in with your credentials, if you are not already signed in.

  6. A page sums up who you are and how many plants are accessible. Click Allow.

  7. You are back in Claude and the connection shows as active.

If your Claude account belongs to an organization (Team or Enterprise plan), an organization administrator adds the connection. You will find it already in the list: click Connect and sign in with your zeroCO2 account.

Use it in a chat

The connection has to be switched on in the conversation: in the message box click +, open Connectors and enable zeroCO2. Then type your question, for example "which plants can I see?".

Menu labels may change slightly with Claude updates.

Disconnect

Go to Settings → Connectors, find zeroCO2 and choose Remove. From then on Claude no longer has access to your data. To reconnect, repeat the steps above.
